Blood Demon of the Battlefield
Fearless, Ferocious, Unforgettable
The Chi Oni Samurai Armor—named after the terrifying “Blood Demon” warriors of the Sengoku Era—is designed to strike fear into the hearts of any who stand against it. Crafted in the style of the zunari kabuto and yokohagi okegawa ni-mai dō (two-section horizontal plate cuirass), this suit of Gashira Class armor represents a fusion of fearsome tradition and modern samurai spirit.
The Chi Oni (血鬼) were warriors who were known for their ferocity and relentless pursuit of victory. Their armor—deep black lacquer with crimson accents—was more than just protection; it was a symbol of terror. Their crimson mask (menpō) and details made them resemble demonic beings born from bloodshed, bringing chaos to the battlefield with terrifying precision.
Iron Mountain Armory’s senior katchû-shi (Japanese armor smiths) have hand-forged this armor set using high-quality traditional materials and some modern techniques to ensure both historical integrity and wearability. This particular set comes with a zunari kabuto featuring detailed mayu (eyebrows) and miage shiwa (forehead wrinkles) as standard. Standard size is designed to accommodate warriors between 5’4″ to 5’10” tall and chest sizes of 104–110 cm.
The armor color and lace options have been pre-selected for this iconic look, embodying the dark energy of the Chi Oni. However, you can customize this set with different kabuto, menpō, suneate, color finishes, lace, leather, and more.
