    The Sizing Options for your custom samurai armor set.

    This option changes the girth size of your Dō (chest armor).  While inhaling deeply, have an assistant wrap the tape measure under your armpits around the largest part of your chest.  In the back, you want the tape measure to wrap across your shoulder blades. The tape measure should be snug, but not tight.

    Adjust the armor to your Height.  Standard sizing is 5' 8" (175 CM).  Select the option closest to your actual height.  If unsure, select 1 size smaller and enter your actual size in the order comments.

The Shinku Akuma Kachi Samurai Armor honors the terrifying mythos of the Shinku Akuma—”Crimson Demons” whispered about across battle-worn provinces. These fearsome low-ranking samurai infantry were said to have forged a pact with a fire demon that dwelled within the charred ruins of war. In return, they were granted the strength to cut through enemy lines like flames through dry grass, growing more powerful with each fallen foe.

Feared by many and respected by all, these warriors left a trail of scorched earth in their wake. After battle, they would ignite buildings in tribute to the Shinku Akuma, believing their victories were gifts from the fiery kami. Some clans, rather than risk facing them, would offer bribes just to ensure the crimson tide passed through without burning villages or taking castles.

Their armor was as fierce as their reputation—painted deep crimson with black and yellow odoshi (lace) to mirror fire, smoke, and ember. A horned maedate (crest) adorned their kabuto (helmet), rumored to hiss and snarl in the heat of battle, striking fear into the hearts of even the bravest warriors.

Crafted by our apprentice katchû-shi (Japanese armor smith) at Iron Mountain Armory, this Kachi Class armor set is built using a traditional Okegawa ni-mai dō (two-section cuirass). It features Kiritsuke Iyozane sode (simulated scale shoulder guards) and kusazuri (defensive skirt plating), carefully painted and laced according to your selected preferences.

This is not just a suit of armor—it is a tribute to the enduring legend of the Shinku Akuma. Designed for martial artists, cosplayers, reenactors, and collectors alike, it is a full-sized, fully functional suit that radiates both honor and fear.

    AMAZING ARMOR! It fits in with my decor and stands out, making a HUGE statement at the same time. I don’t plan on wearing it but still purchased the TAISHO class model and I can see how this armor will really stand up in battle. It is very well constructed and detailed and the horns are dominating! I can see how lesser samurai would run scared at the site of a samurai wearing this armor charging at them.

    Great customer service too. Fast responses to emails and intuitively answering questions before I can ask them. I could really tell these guys know their stuff! I will be saving up for another suit next year!
