To properly secure and display these crests, specialized haraidate da (brackets) are required. Depending on the style and size of the maedate, different types of brackets are used:

• U-Bracket (Option #1): The most common type, designed for smaller maedate that sit directly over the front of the kabuto.
• Tsuru no Kubi (Crane’s Neck) Bracket (Option #2): A longer bracket for taller maedate that extend above the front of the kabuto, such as dragon crests.
• Flat Base Bracket (Option #3): Designed for tube-style haraidate da mounts, offering additional stability.

These brackets are widely used in both original and reproduction samurai helmets, making them ideal for DIY restoration, custom armor projects, or replacing a lost or damaged bracket.
