Trusted Protection for Ashigaru, Shinobi & Samurai on the Move

Kachi Tatami Karuta Yoroi is a historically accurate, lightweight suit of tatami (folding) armor worn by ashigaru (foot soldiers), shinobi (ninja), and lower-ranking samurai during the Sengoku Era of feudal Japan. This practical armor features karuta (small square steel plates) sewn onto a cloth backing to form a highly flexible, easily transportable defense—perfect for long campaigns or stealth missions.

The (chest armor) and kusazuri (thigh guards) offer flexibility with small gaps between the karuta, while basic kote (armored sleeves) and suneate (shin guards) use shino (splint) plates sewn to durable linen for a balance of protection and affordability.
