Description
Dominate with the One-Eyed Dragon’s Legendary Crescent Helm
The Date Masamune Suji-Bachi Kabuto is a masterwork of Iron Mountain Armory’s Taisho Class – Elite Series, handcrafted in honor of one of Japan’s most iconic daimyō and tacticians of the late Sengoku Jidai and early Edo Era. Known as the Dokuganryū (One-Eyed Dragon of Ōshu), Date Masamune commanded both battlefield fear and lasting legacy with his unmistakable crescent moon maedate (helmet crest) and keen military mind.
This full-sized, fully functional kabuto is crafted from 32 individual ken (plates) to form an imposing suji-bachi (ridged bowl) design—a hallmark of power and prestige. Each plate is hand-cut, shaped, and riveted by our Taisho-class katchū-shi, ensuring historical fidelity and structural excellence. The sweeping crescent maedate, carved fukigaeshi (helmet “ears”) with floral patterns, and meticulous attention to form pay tribute to the unmistakable silhouette of Masamune himself.
While this kabuto is modeled after Masamune’s original armor, it can be customized to your liking—including the number of ken, choice of mengu (facial armor), odoshi (lace) color, paint finish, and more. Whether you want to honor the legend or forge your own warrior identity, this helmet is a commanding centerpiece worthy of display or wear.
