Standard Size: fits most people 167–182 cm tall (≈ 5'6"–5'10").
The torso is cut with an 11 cm (~4 in) taper from chest to waist.

If your in between sizes it is often best to order 1 size larger.

Measure your waist at the navel (belly-button level) and choose that size.

Important: The waist is traditionally 4 in / 11 cm smaller than the chest.
We cannot make the waist larger than your chest measurement.

Please select your height. Our standard armor is designed to best fit individuals between 167 cm and 177 cm tall (approximately 5'6" to 5'10"). This helps us ensure the best possible fit for your armor.

Please select your weight. This information is used for reference only to help us better understand your body type and guide the overall shape and fit of the armor. It does not affect the quality or class of the armor, and all sizing details can still be adjusted if needed.

Lead with Fearless Honor – The Red Ogre Rises Again

Ii Naomasa Taisho Samurai Armor set has been handcrafted in honor of the legendary Ii (Ē) Naomasa (井伊 直政, 1561–1602) of the Tôtômi Province. Revered as one of the “Four Guardian Kings” who defended the Tokugawa Shogunate, Naomasa stood as a symbol of fearless command and indomitable spirit. Inspired by the fabled Takeda Clan, he and his troops donned armor in rich vermilion, creating a terrifying presence on the battlefield. This earned his elite forces the fearsome name “The Red Devils,” while Naomasa himself was called Akaoni (Red Ogre).

This remarkable yoroi set features Naomasa’s signature “lofty golden horns,” rising from the etchû zunari kabuto (helmet) in place of a traditional maedate (crest). The kiritsuke iyozane okegawa dō (simulated scale plated cuirass with horizontal plates) is both functional and ceremonial, combining protection with regal aesthetics. As with the original, the visual emphasis on fearlessness and authority commands respect both in combat and in presentation.

Our most experienced katchû-shi (Japanese armorers) at Iron Mountain Armory replicate this historically important design using traditional techniques with minimal modern tooling. Whether worn in martial demonstrations or proudly displayed, this Taisho-class armor is a tribute to honor, duty, and the spirit of conquest.

Clients can personalize this armor with changes to the color of the horns, their size, or other available features. Simply note your preference in the “Order Comments” section during checkout.
