Description
Authentic Twisted Cord for Enhancing Armor & Clothing
Jabara-Fuse is a flat, twisted rope traditionally crafted from two or more threads to create a distinctive chevron pattern. This decorative trim was commonly used to embellish samurai armor and clothing, serving as both a border and a reinforcement. In yoroi (samurai armor), jabara-fuse was often applied as piping between egawa (decorative leather) and fukurin (metal trim), enhancing both aesthetic appeal and durability.
This high-quality jabara-fuse follows traditional patterns and measures approximately 3mm in width. Each length is sold in 5-meter increments, which is generally sufficient for a single armor section such as a suji-bachi kabuto, do (cuirass), or haidate (armored apron). For those undertaking full armor restoration or large DIY projects, we recommend ordering 15 meters (select a quantity of 3) to ensure ample material for additional detailing or corrections.
