Description
Own a piece of samurai history!
Kari-Ebira are light, open-framed samurai quivers traditionally handcrafted from wood or bamboo. Favored for their simplicity and ease of transport, these quivers secure arrows with a cord or leather thong twisted around them and wedged into a ridged bottom. With a base often fashioned as a box or basket, the Kari-Ebira was universally used in both hunting and warfare. Its versatile design allowed it to be worn on horseback, on foot, or even while seated, making it an indispensable accessory for mounted samurai and their retainers alike. Some styles were even adorned with fur—known as Sakatsura quivers—adding an extra layer of authenticity.
Iron Mountain Armory has faithfully recreated the Kari-Ebira in a traditional yet economical fashion. We offer customization options including the ability to choose a mon or your own logo painted on the ebira (box). (Default Option: Black with Gold Dragonfly.) This attention to detail ensures that each quiver not only meets historical standards but also reflects your personal style.
