Cross-Laced Legacy – A Warrior’s Classic Reborn
The Muromachi Hishi-Toji Samurai Armor is a vibrant and historically inspired reproduction of the classic cross-laced yoroi (armor) worn by high-ranking samurai during the late Muromachi through Sengoku Periods. This striking Kachi Class version is built with a Tosei Okegawa Ni-mai Dō (hinged two-piece chest plate) assembled from 14 individual armored plates, each hand-laced together using traditional odoshi (lace). This meticulous process requires over 50 hours of craftsmanship—an impressive feat even for the Kachi Class.
The brilliant display of kebiki-odoshi (full lacing) on the ō-sode (shield-like shoulder guards) offers an iconic and colorful aesthetic reminiscent of classical samurai lore. Custom color patterns are available for the lacing, allowing you to personalize your armor with historical flair or modern creativity. Our katchû-shi (armor smiths) are happy to accommodate your vision, from subtle hues to bold contrast.
Like all suits in our Kachi Series, this armor is crafted using more economical materials and methods, making it perfect for collectors, cosplay, martial artists, or as a dojo centerpiece. It features upgradeable options such as fukurin (decorative copper trim), customizable maedate (helmet crest), and detailed mon (clan symbol) work. Display your pride, power & warrior spirit with this beautifully balanced suit.
Standard lacing: Light Green (main lace), Dark Green (second lace), Crimson (bottom lace), White (mimi-ito).
