Historically worn waist- to knee-length, the Yoroi Haori can be conveniently worn open or securely tied closed at the waist using traditional odoshi lace.

Emerging prominently during Japan’s turbulent Sengoku era (Warring States Period), samurai initially crafted these jackets from basic, durable materials such as hemp or cotton linen, reflecting the practicality required during continuous military campaigns. • Add 10 cm if intended for wear over armor (yoroi).
• For an accurate length, measure from your shoulder to your desired jacket length, typically waist to mid-thigh.
• Please note custom measurements provided are guidelines; slight alterations may be made by our seamstress to achieve the traditional fit.
