Earn Loyalty, Wear Honor – The Armor of the Last Samurai
The Ujio Samurai Armor is a masterful reproduction crafted by the finest katchû-shi (Japanese armorers) at Iron Mountain Armory. Each set is created with absolute pride, precision, and a passion for preserving the spirit of the samurai. Inspired by the fictional character “Ujio” (portrayed by Hiroyuki Sanada) from the famous Hollywood production The Last Samurai, this armor stands as a symbol of unwavering loyalty, fierce honor, and the soul of the warrior spirit.
Ujio, the fierce and silent warrior, earned the trust of his lord “Katsumoto” and his comrades through valor and loyalty. His final stand, clad in his iconic Uroko Dō (scale-plated cuirass), became an enduring image of honor unto death. Now, you too can embody that indomitable spirit with a faithful reproduction of his legendary yoroi.
The Ujio Daimyo Samurai Armor is meticulously handcrafted using over 300 individual dragon scale plates, wrapping the warrior’s body with strength and resilience. The armor features a bold momonari kabuto (peach-shaped helmet) with raised plating and byo (rivets) for added strength. The impressive horns, sculpted from lightweight wood, preserve the exact majestic silhouette seen in the movie.
Handcrafted by our Daimyo Class katchû-shi, this yoroi combines traditional samurai armor-making methods with modern refinements to deliver premium quality and historical majesty. Options are pre-selected to match the armor exactly as seen, but you are welcome to explore customizations to make the armor uniquely yours. Our artisans stand ready to forge your legacy.
