The Akai Oni Taisho Samurai (Red Demon General) were the elite commanders of the Takeda Clan’s fearsome forces. Personally entrusted by Takeda Shingen—the “Tiger of Kai”—these warriors embodied valor, ferocity, and unswerving loyalty. They led their Gashira (officers) and Kachi (foot soldiers) into battle with calculated precision, moving as the very hand of their Daimyo, striking swift and devastating blows against all enemies.

Their crimson yoroi (armor), either finished in rich suna texture or vivid cinnabar lacquer, shone on the battlefield like a harbinger of doom. It earned them the dreaded name Akai Oni (Red Devils), and made them one of the most feared forces of the Sengoku Jidai.

For 400 years, the Takeda Clan ruled Kai Province, building a legacy founded on the principles of “Loyalty and Fraternity.” Their battle banner, emblazoned with fu rin ka zan (“Wind, Forest, Fire, Mountain”), reflected their battle tactics: “Swift as the Wind, Silent as the Forest, Intrusive as Fire, and Immovable as a Mountain.”

Iron Mountain Armory proudly recreates this fearsome legend with the Akai Oni Taisho Armor Set. Each suit is handcrafted by master katchû-shi (armor smiths) in true Taisho Class quality, blending traditional techniques with modern precision. This gusoku features Kiritsuke Iyozane simulated scale plating, robust sode (shoulder shields), and kusazari (armored skirt) for maximum battlefield authenticity.

Custom tailoring options allow you to change kabuto (helmet) styles, menpō (mask designs), suneate (shin guards), paint finishes, odoshi (lace) colors, and materials to forge a samurai armor as unique as your warrior spirit.

The default finish features bold Shu (red) armor and black lacing—but your armor can be customized in any way you envision.
