The Etchū Zunari Bachi Kabuto is a refined variation of the classic zunari (head-shaped) kabuto, crafted in our Taisho Class – Elite Series by the senior katchū-shi (armor smiths) of Iron Mountain Armory. Like its counterpart, the Hineno Zunari, this design is constructed from three individually cut steel plates. The distinguishing feature of the Etchū variation lies in its central plate, which extends over the mabisashi (visor), creating a bold visual difference that is more aesthetic than functional—but highly favored among samurai for its commanding look.
Each helmet is carefully hand-riveted to form the hachi (helmet bowl), with an authentic hineno-jikoro (close-fitting neck guard) meticulously assembled from individual lames. The shikoro is laced in odoshi sugake (simple hang) style using your choice of vibrant art silk odoshi, offering both durability and elegance.
