Description
Command with the Spirit of the Samurai!
The Gunbai is a revered war fan and command baton used by Daimyo, Samurai Taisho (generals), and Gashira (officers) to assert authority and lead troops both on and off the battlefield. Worn on the armor or carried as a family heirloom, the Gunbai symbolizes rank and the right to command, and was often passed from father to son. Unique in design and crafted from solid wood—or layered iron and wood—the Gunbai not only serves as an emblem of honor but can also be used defensively against surprise attacks, swords, or arrows.
