Originally, Iki-Ningyō could be either a head-only or a full-body mannequin, used to portray how samurai appeared while wearing their armor. Some faces were modeled after actual samurai, while others featured a more “cartoon-like” appearance with embellished almond-shaped eyes—a style possibly influenced by traditional woodblock prints.

The realistic eyes and hair can be changed with ease to suit your display needs. Additionally, the head can be purchased with or without a specially crafted metal stand. This stand is sized and weighted, featuring a non-slip, scuff-resistant bottom to keep your kabuto or other headgear secure and balanced. The adjustable stand neck can extend up to 45 cm tall, making it ideal for displaying antique or reproduction kabuto, European helmets, or any headgear that demands attention.
