Select the armor size you prefer.

Standard Size: fits most people 167–182 cm tall (≈ 5'6"–5'10").
The torso is cut with an 11 cm (~4 in) taper from chest to waist.

To choose correctly, measure your chest at full inhalation and use that measurement as your reference.
If your in between sizes it is often best to order 1 size larger.

To choose correctly, measure your chest at full inhalation and use that measurement as your reference.
If your in between sizes it is often best to order 1 size larger.

Measure your waist at the navel (belly-button level) and choose that size.
Unsure? Pick the next size up for a looser fit.

Important: The waist is traditionally 4 in / 11 cm smaller than the chest.
We cannot make the waist larger than your chest measurement.

Please select your height. Our standard armor is designed to best fit individuals between 167 cm and 177 cm tall (approximately 5'6" to 5'10"). This helps us ensure the best possible fit for your armor.

Please select your weight. This information is used for reference only to help us better understand your body type and guide the overall shape and fit of the armor. It does not affect the quality or class of the armor, and all sizing details can still be adjusted if needed.

These accessories will be added with your armor set shipment.

Add a narrow Uwa - Obit (outer utility) Belt to your armor set, to hold your tanto (dagger), katana (sword), bags, canteen and other accessories.

Add a Large Yoroi Obi Belt to your order—a padded “pillow” belt worn beneath the armor. It cushions and protects the hips while keeping the chest armor securely positioned.
This material will match the main material you select for your armor.

Ascend in Elegance – Armor Worthy of a Daimyo

This exquisite Kiritsuke Iyozane Samurai Armor is a commanding example of prestige and power, handcrafted by our senior Taisho-class katchû-shi (Japanese armorers) at Iron Mountain Armory. Revered for its noble styling and functional superiority, this yoroi (armor set) replicates the refined aesthetics and battlefield efficiency preferred by high-ranking samurai and daimyo during the late Sengoku and Edo periods.

The kiritsuke iyozane okegawa dō (simulated scale cuirass with horizontal plates) is composed of laced, embossed plates formed into a two-piece ni-mai dō (cuirass), bound together with a traditional pin hinge. This style masterfully imitates the older kozane scale armor, while enhancing structural integrity and mobility—ideal for warriors who demanded performance and elegance. The polished flow of the sode (shoulder guards) and kusazuri (defensive skirt plating), paired with the unmistakable strength of the regal suji-bachi kabuto (multi-plate helmet with raised ridges), makes this one of our most visually striking suits.

Each piece is handcrafted with minimal modern intervention, upholding the honor of traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Our katchû-shi devote over 30 days of focused labor to each armor set, ensuring it is heirloom-quality, battle-ready, and true to the samurai code. Clients may customize every detail, including paint, odoshi (lace) colors, kabuto, menpō (mask), and suneate (shin guards), making it a singular symbol of personal valor.

Key Features & Benefits:

  • Taisho Class hand-forged armor – elite historical reproduction
  • Full-sized, fully functional – designed for training, reenactment, or regal display
  • Rich customization options – paint, lace, fittings, and helmet configurations
  • Includes yoroi bitsu (storage box) and display stand

Shipping Information:

Our Taisho-class katchû-shi will begin handcrafting your armor as soon as your order is placed. Please allow at least 2 to 3 weeks for custom processing and finishing. This is a once-in-a-lifetime investment, crafted to embody your warrior spirit with perfection.
