Command with Prestige – Armor of a Red Devil’s Legacy

This masterwork Kiritsuke Kozane Okegawa Samurai Armor set is a refined replica of the famed kiritsuke kozane kebiki-odoshi okegawa tosei yoroi (simulated scale, full-laced, modern armor with horizontal plates). Historically favored by high-ranking samurai and daimyo during the mid-16th century through the Edo period, this armor brings together form, function, and flair.

Its centerpiece, the kiritsuke kozane okegawa ni-mai dō (simulated scale two-section cuirass), is composed of 14 forged ita-mono (broad metal strips), laced in the classical kebiki-odoshi (full lacing) style. While visually identical to the older, flexible hon kozane (true scale) armor, this design offers superior durability and easier maintenance—along with significant cost savings. This makes it the preferred armor style for daimyo who demanded appearance, strength, and practicality on the battlefield.

Crowning the armor is a stately suji-bachi kabuto (ridged helmet) adorned with a tall, customizable maedate (crest). Clients may add their clan mon (symbol), family emblem, or even a custom business logo to create a distinct suit of armor that echoes their legacy. The regal brass trim, or fukurin, can be added to the helmet, cuirass, and sode (shoulder guards), emphasizing status and fine detail.

Handcrafted by our elite Taisho-class katchû-shi (Japanese armorers), every component is made with the utmost precision using time-honored techniques and minimal modern tools. With over 100 hours of work invested in each set, this armor is as close to museum-quality as it gets—designed for both battlefield reenactment and elegant display.

We offer complete customization of paint colors, odoshi (lace), kabuto styles, menpō (mask), and suneate (shin guards). You may also select mockup previews to ensure your lacing pattern is exactly as envisioned.

Key Features & Benefits:

  • Taisho Class elite hand-forged armor – historical reproduction of superior quality
  • Full-sized and fully functional – ideal for martial arts, display, reenactment
  • Customizable details – paint, lace pattern, helmet style, maedate, and trim
  • Includes yoroi bitsu (armor box) and wooden display stand

Shipping Information:

Your custom armor set will be handcrafted by our senior Taisho-class katchû-shi. Please allow 2 to 3 weeks for expert crafting, assembly, and finishing. A worthy investment in a legacy piece that will last generations.
