Description

Masters of Sea and Steel
Honor the Spirit of the Mōri Clan

The Mōri Clan of Aki was renowned for their military dominance on both land and sea. As masters of naval warfare, their fleets moved with unmatched precision, reading the waves like a sacred text. Known to strike by moonlight, they would land silently on enemy shores, catching their foes off guard. Their strength, however, was not limited to combat. The Mōri Clan also wielded diplomacy with precision, mastering not only weapons but words. Through this dual force of steel and strategy, they secured their place in history as one of the most influential and respected families in Feudal Japan.

This full-sized, fully functional reproduction suit of samurai armor is a tribute to their legacy. Designed in their honor by our skilled Katchû-shi (Japanese armor smiths), this Kachi Class gusoku (matching armor set) is both stunning and economical. It features a beautifully carved Ikuchi (sea dragon) maedate (helmet crest), a powerful symbol of the clan’s command of the ocean. With its Kiritsuke Iyozane (simulated scale plating), large sode (shoulder guards), kusazuri (defensive skirt plates), and Okegawa Dō (barrel-style chest armor), this set is crafted to reflect the balance between style, function, and historical symbolism.

For modern samurai seeking to display their warrior pride or to connect with a noble legacy of honor and intelligence, this armor offers a perfect opportunity. Whether worn in reenactments, martial arts demonstrations, or displayed proudly in a home, dojo, or office, it speaks to the enduring power of the Mōri name.

  3. Admittedly although I read other reviews about this company and their armor I was still sceptical. However I just I received my new samurai armor last week and was so excited. I unpacked and inspected each piece of armor, which was carefully wrapped in bubble wrap to keep it safe during shipping. The level of detail that went into each armor part is very impressive. The armor looks and feels real. The weight, the toughness of the metal especially the detailed work put into the helmet, which fits like a glove. I have already worn the armor for my family and friends and it fits perfectly and everyone was impressed. Everyone hit my chest to test the armor and were shocked at how strong the armor actually is, saying “That’s the real thing!” I can’t wait to wear my armor to Comicon this year!

Overall I am very impressed and this armor is well worth 5 stars. I would highly recommend this armor to anyone wanting a real samurai suit of armor.
