Measure your waist at the navel (belly-button level) and choose that size.

Important: The waist is traditionally 4 in / 11 cm smaller than the chest.
We cannot make the waist larger than your chest measurement.

Rise with the Crimson Demon – Armor of a Fearless Legacy

The Sanada Yukimura Kiritsuke Kozane is a Taisho-class gusoku (armor set), handcrafted with exceptional care and precision by the most experienced katchû-shi (Japanese armor smiths) at Iron Mountain Armory. This elite armor replicates the historical kiritsuke kozane (simulated narrow scale) plating style—a robust evolution of the traditional hon kozane (true scale), originally favored by high-ranking samurai and daimyō (feudal lords) during the mid-16th to 18th centuries.

The chest is constructed in the form of an okegawa ni-mai dō (two-section, clamshell-style cuirass) that hinges under the left arm and ties at the right. This configuration not only enhances mobility and maintenance but offers exceptional durability in battle—ideal for warriors who led from the front.

This distinguished armor is forged in tribute to the legendary Sanada Yukimura (真田 幸村, 1567–1615), the valiant taishō (commander) of the Sanada Clan. Known as the “Crimson Demon of War,” Yukimura was celebrated for his brilliance in strategy and heroism, even when facing overwhelming odds. His fierce leadership during the Siege of Osaka sealed his name in the chronicles of samurai legend. The armor bears the clan’s maedate (helmet crest)—the iconic rokumonsen (six coins)—symbolizing the toll required to cross the river into the afterlife, reflecting the clan’s fearlessness in battle.

Adorning the kabuto (helmet) are elegant deer antlers, carved from wood and textured in clay, symbolizing Yukimura’s dual mastery of defense and offense. The armor’s standard finish is a commanding vermilion or crimson, often with a suna (sand) texture, though we invite you to fully customize it. From paint and odoshi (lace) color to the style of menpō (face mask), suneate (shin guards), and more—our artisans are proud to tailor every element to your specifications.
