This remarkable Tsuno Oni (horned demon) armor embodies the fierce persona of Japan’s legendary mountain spirits, meticulously crafted by our elite Taisho-class katchû-shi (Japanese armorers). Drawing from both myth and historical design, this armor strikes terror into foes and admiration from allies.

It features a handcrafted byō-tōji yokohagi okegawa dō (horizontal plate cuirass with raised rivets) and byō-tōji momonari kabuto (peach-shaped helmet with riveted construction), all capped by a ferocious ō-tengu menpō (long-nosed demon mask) adorned with real buffalo horns. Every component, from the sweeping shikoro (neck guard) to the sode (shoulder guards) and kusazuri (skirt plates), is laced in kebiki-odoshi (full lacing), showcasing the highest level of traditional craftsmanship and imposing strength.

Our Taisho artisans at Iron Mountain Armory use traditional techniques with minimal modern enhancements, ensuring each suit retains historical authenticity and structural excellence. This is not merely costume armor—it is functional, wearable armor forged with reverence and skill.
