Yoroi Bitsu

Yoroi Bitsu (also known as a kara bitsu (armor chest) or gusoku bitsu (armor chest)) is an ornate, handcrafted wooden chest traditionally used for the storage, protection, and transport of a gusoku (samurai armor set). Historically, a specially designed stand could be placed on top so the armor could be displayed with proper presence when required. Iron Mountain Armory faithfully recreates both the chest and its display tradition, so you can store and present your armor with pride, purpose, and clean museum style.

If you want your yoroi bitsu to carry a deeper identity, we can, upon special request, hand paint your chosen mon (clan crest), family crest, kanji (characters), or a company logo on the front panel.

This yoroi bitsu can be ordered with standard front kanji (characters) or a standard mon (clan crest). If you would like your own custom design or logo painted, select “Custom Mon” in the options. After ordering, email us the mon (clan crest) or logo you would like painted by replying directly to the Order Confirmation you receive. Please note, we can only paint single color, “clip art” style artwork on the box to ensure clean lines and traditional presentation.

You may also request display and fitting add ons through the Production Customization Options, including the portable yoroi kake (samurai armor stand), the deluxe yoroi kake (samurai armor stand), and arm pillows designed to fill out the kote (armored sleeves) for a sharper, fuller display.
